1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using lochs.dev and associated services ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lochs provides FreeBSD jail containerization tools for Linux, including the Lochs CLI, BSDulator engine, image registry, and related managed services. The open-source components are provided under their respective licenses. The managed services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

3. Open Source License

The Lochs CLI and BSDulator engine are open-source software. Your use of these components is governed by the applicable open-source license in the project repository. These Terms of Service apply additionally to your use of the lochs.dev website and managed services.

4. User Accounts

You may create an account using GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and must not share credentials or use another person's account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to transmit illegal, harmful, or offensive content, distribute malware or spam, violate any laws or regulations, interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.

6. Subscription and Billing

Paid subscriptions (Pro, Enterprise) are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, your account will revert to the Community tier at the end of the billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

7. Data and Content

You retain ownership of all jail images, configurations, and data you create or upload. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We may access your data only as necessary to provide and maintain the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

Lochs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
